Our working group Europe and Foreign Policy is about activities and relationships between states. We analyze all factors influencing foreign policies shape: domestic considerations, the policies of other states, geopolitical plans.
What is the main goal of this working group?
In our working group there are members from different countries. It helps us to analyze the issus from different perspectives. I believe that the most important thing in foreign policy is good understanding of contexts – historical, cultural, social.
Foreign Policy is linked with geopolitics, security and economy but also foreign policy takes into consideration global crisises like migration crisis or climate crisis. I see the European Union as an influential actor in the global arena. In this working group we give a lot of attention the EU foreign policy.
About our working group chairperson Karolina Derýnska:
I am a Country Coordinator for ALDE Party and Individual Members of Poland. I graduated from the European Academy of Diplomacy. In the past, I worked with the Civic Platform and Nowoczesna – two Polish political parties. I worked for the headquarters and members of parliament of both parties, including the parliamentary office of Mr Donald Tusk, then Prime Minister of Poland. I am currently working on my project – Linka Green Diplomacy Project.
I am interested in foreign policy and green diplomacy. In free time I play the piano and ukulele. I like walking with my dog named Lilo.
